Our five-step remote hiring process helps you find the best talent worldwide. We create a detailed job description and use remote-friendly sourcing methods to identify potential candidates. Our screening process evaluates communication skills, ability to work independently, and technical expertise in remote collaboration tools.

We coordinate virtual interviews and provide you with necessary tools to make an informed decision. Our process ensures a positive candidate experience while finding the best remote talent quickly.

Client Brief

Outline your people needs in a comprehensive briefing session with our Australia-based Account Managers.

Sourcing / Hiring process

We will review existing internal capabilities, sourcing for additional employees (if required) and our team will complete any of your internal hiring processes.

Induction

Success! Your new employee/s are ready to start. We mirror all facets of your induction processes, including dedicated office space and merch.

Compliance

We have got this covered, so you can focus on growing your business. You will enter into a clear, transparent agreement with Oben.

Ongoing Management

We will have check-ins with you and your Oben-appointed employees on an ongoing basis-this will mostly be done with your Australian-based Account Managers.

How do we vet candidates?

We receive upwards of 1.2 million candidate/employee applications, and conduct a rigorous interview / screening process for all potential employees.

  • Non-Technical Assessment

    Resume/CV Screening: We view the resumes or CVs of the applicants to shortlist candidates who meet the basic job requirements. We look for relevant experience, education, and skills that align with the positions we’re currently sourcing for.

    Internal interviews: We conduct virtual / face to face interviews with shortlisted candidates, assessing their communication skills and role/team suitability. We also use this time to dive deeper into their technical skills, approach to solving problems, and their soft skills - including team work, adaptability and leadership.

    Step 1

  • Technical Assessment

    We conduct a technical assessment and/or coding tests to evaluate a candidates practical skills and problem-solving abilities. This could involve programming exercises, algorithmic challenges, or projects related to the job role. We design assessments that accurately reflect the job responsibilities.

    We conduct in-person or virtual panel interviews. These interviews involve relevant team members, including technical experts, managers, and potential colleagues. We use this opportunity to dive deeper into a candidate’s technical abilities, problem-solving approach, and cultural fit within the team.

    We conduct references checks on all candidates to gain insights into work ethic, performance and reliability.

  • Client Engagement

    We will share candidates that match your requirements with you, and partner with you to take any shortlisted employees through your internal processes.

    As the employee has been pre-vetted by our team, we share all interview information we’ve prepared, meaning you can focus on meeting the candidate and getting them started in your team as quickly as possible.

    Step 3

  • Decision Making

    Once you’ve met with the shortlisted candidates, we connect with you to discuss any feedback together and make an informed decision about the candidate’s suitability.

    Once you’ve identified your candidate/s, we take care of all employment contracts, saving you time and resources.

  • Onboarding and Induction

    Oben offers a comprehensive onboarding process (in our purpose built office, or remote).

    When an employee joins your team, they can also go through any company-specific inductions, too. If you need a hand with employee merchandise we can arrange this locally.
